Sacré bleu!

I mentioned in the previous post that the ZATech podcast had predicted that cheap uncapped ADSL connections were going to be launched in SA soon. Just a day or two after submitting that article for publication in Tribune, Mweb launched several uncapped products with the basic domestic 384kbps service priced at R219 per month.

Don’t they know that we South African consumers aren’t used to getting such value. It might be bad for us!

Notwithstanding that, however, I am soon going to be testing the product and will report back, so watch this space.

I am sceptical of the new Mweb offer, I think it will be incredibly oversubscribed, and that the “fair use” limit is rather nebulous, at least at first read.

I did take up Afrihost as a supplier though, they seem to be coping well with the sudden popularity thanks to your endorsment.
I will add the Zatech podcast to my weekly list – the first local one…….

      Hi Sean
It will be interesting to see what happens. I have been using Afrihost quite happily but I see they are going to be offering only 4Mbps uncapped services for the time being. I have an Mweb 384kbps test account and it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
      Cheers, Allan
